TRAILER REMODELING

I remodeled my first vintage trailer in 2009 and since then I have loved the process and of course experiencing/showing off the finished product is the best part. My first project was a 1956 Canned Ham that I bought in Portland, OR for $150! It was a moldy mess and needed a complete overhaul. Since then I have remodeled 7 trailers in varying degrees of decay.

My favorite remodel that I did mostly by myself is of our 1984 Burro trailer, its a tiny one coming in at 10’ of living space. My partner, David and I have called it our home for about 2 years now. It has offered us a lot of freedom and adventure. When we decide to settle down and get some land again I envision myself buying vintage trailers and remodeling them to offer up as accomodations. Until then my best friend owns a Hot Springs Resort in Truth or Consequences, NM and I have been getting my fix of remodeling trailers there. It’s been a lot of fun and I have learned a lot in the process.

See me in action.

Here’s a couple videos showing me remodel vintage trailers at Hot Springs Glamp Camp in Truth Or Consequences New Mexico. It’s a short and fun insight into how a trailer transformation can be a joy, even though it’s a lot of work.
